The International sauna Congresses have been held at four-year intervals since 1956. The XVIII Congress has been awarded to Germany for the period from 24 to 27 October 2022. It will be held in Stuttgart Germany together with the world´s largest sauna trade fair INTERBAD.
The German Sauna Association, as the host country´s Member of the International Sauna Association ISA, is responsible for the organization and programme. The task has been given by the International Sauna Association ISA, Helsinki, Finland.
After Bielefeld (1956), Munich (1966 and 1970), Düsseldorf (1978), and Bad Aachen (1999), the largest meeting of the sauna trade will be held in Germany for the fifth time. The world’s most extensive sauna market with its more than 10,000 public sauna bathing facilities expects new impulses from the presentation and congress contributions after the pandemic-induced standstill in the industry. So far, many congresses have triggered progress in terms of technology and construction; the discussions on the topic of “sauna, health, and prevention” have often yielded new insights into the effects of saunas. Until these days, sauna users all over the world benefit from this.
